The world is still reeling under the after effects of the year that was 2020. But the new year has started on a positive note and if recent developments are any indication, it promises to be a good one. Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, known for films that explore the dynamics of modern relationships, is currently holidaying in the Maldives with estranged wife Preety and daughter Ida.

Imtiaz and Preety, who had tied the knot in 1995, had parted ways since 2012. However, they have come closer as a family in the last year if a source is to be believed. Apparently, the filmmaker was very concerned about Preety and had moved back to be with her in March last year, just before the lockdown was imposed in the wake of the pandemic. They also called their 20-year-old daughter back to India on March 13 from the US where she was studying. “They have certainly come together as a family and it is a happy sight indeed,” the source adds.

Imtiaz and Preety reside in the same complex in Andheri, which houses Vicky Kaushal, Rajkummar Rao-Patralekhaa, Rahul Dev-Mugdha Godse, Ahmed Khan, Chitrangada Singh, Aanand L Rai, Kashmera Shah-Krushana Abhishek, Sapna Mukerji, Neil Nitin Mukesh.


Around the same time as Imtiaz, Sussanne Khan had also returned with sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan to stay at Hrithik Roshan‘s house in Juhu to co-parent their kids.
